About the Experience
We wanted to bring change and focus on the bold, complex and delicious cuisine of Mexico - deep rooted in ancient civilizations and colonizations. In addition, Chef Varun has always been drawn to the cuisine’s savoury flavours. The space itself is full of character, warmth and texture - inspired by Mexican cantinas. From the mural at the entrance, the altar, talavera tiles to the papel picado inspired wooden panel; all of it tells a story.

Began as a dishwasher at a bar in the USA, working through a management degree, returining to Bangalore’s most serious kitchens - Taj’s Blue Ginger, The Park’s Italia, finally joining as Sous Chef under Chef Manu Chandra at Olive Bangalore, then Brand Head of Monkey Bar and finally Brand Chef for Toast & Tonic.
